Where will our sessions take place?

If you are a resident of North Carolina I offer virtual appointments Monday and Thursday from 8am-4pm. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday’s I reserve for in person sessions. I am located on 910 Broad st in Durham, NC.

What will the first session look like?

Prior to our first session I will send you intake paperwork for you to fill out. This will help me become familiar with the information you provide. In our first session we will begin to build a relationship. We will get clear on what matters to you, what your main concerns are and how we can help to get you to where you want to be.

How often will we meet?

I like to see folks weekly for at least the first 8-12 sessions. After that time we can reevaluate and see what works best for us. I also understand that meeting weekly is not feasible for everyone. If this is the case, we can have a discussion to see what works for you and your situation. I do not offer monthly sessions to start.

Will I receive a diagnosis?

Most insurance companies require a formal diagnosis in order to reimburse for mental health services. While I understand that labels can feel limiting or may not fully capture the depth of your experience, this step is part of how the current healthcare system operates. I approach this process with care and sensitivity, aiming to use diagnosis as a practical tool rather than a defining judgment. My aim is to support your access to care while honoring your unique story, strengths, and journey toward wellness.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Yes, I dedicate a selective amount of client spots for people who need to pay a reduced fee. I prioritize these slots for undocumented immigrants, BIPOC who are currently uninsured and folks who are experiencing financial hardship
